About 1 Stop
One Stop Paediatric services aims to provide access to a comprehensive range of private children’s health services in the SE of South Australia.
One Stop Paediatric services is a multidisciplinary centre consisting of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy (Speech Pathology), Psychology/Counselling services.
Therapists work as a team to recognise your child's individual differences, their strengths and areas of challenge.
Therapists provide a thorough professional assessment, in-clinic therapy services, home and school visits, home programs, consultations, groups and intensive therapy options.
Therapists use a family centred, developmental / play philosophy.
We strongly respect family values and goals. Therapists work with you and your child to help achieve positive outcomes through parent coaching and involvement, education sessions and family counselling.
Children are seen with or without a referral. An initial assessment appointment is made with the professional whom the parent or referrer has requested. All children will be offered an initial appointment within two weeks of referral. Follow up visits are arranged by mutual agreement.
We link clients in with other evidence based healthcare and community services such medical practices, paediatric specialists, visiting specialist services and government support agencies.

One Stop is also a teaching centre with strong affiliations with the Greater Green Triangle University of Rural Health, Flinders University and the University of South Australia. We provide clinical placement for students - currently physiotherapy and occupational therapy students from UniSA and Charles Sturt University. Medical students from Flinders University PRCC and paediatric registrars from Mount Gambier Hospital spend time at One Stop.
Teaching is seen as beneficial in encouraging students and new graduates to experience the benefit of working in a rural/regional area and allows for strong commitment to all aspects of caring for children with a disability. It has been shown to improve the likelihood of people staying or returning to the country to work after graduation and thus addresses the skill shortage which is so evident in rural and regional Australia.
